Join Us

We are always looking for new members to join whether it be acting, backstage work, costume, make-up, directing, publicity, sound, lighting, or even making the coffee at rehearsals (it's an important part of the rehearsal process!) We hold social events throughout the year such as Quiz Nights, meals out, trips to other theatres, garden parties, BBQs, social readings and supporting our local pub!

If you would like to join our merry band of players the subscription is £20 per year for adults and under 16's free.
Rehearsals normally take place on Mondays and Wednesdays from 7.30pm usually until 9.30pm although often it is 10pm as the opening night approaches! We stop for tea, coffee and biscuits and a good natter though (do you sense a theme here?). We hold 'open rehearsals' where any member of the society is welcome to come and watch. Be warned though, you might get roped in to read a part for someone who is absent!
You will appear before a formidable panel of experienced not really! We cast most of our productions at open reading sessions and workshops (much more fun and less stressful) so come along to read for a part...simples!
We put on two main productions a year at the Guildhall Arts Centre in Grantham, usually in May and October.
Still Not sure?

We appreciate it can be a bit daunting joining a new group so why not pop along to rehearsals or one of our social readings (see the Diary page) so you can get to meet us before you become a member.

We're a very friendly bunch of all ages and levels of experience so don't worry if you haven't been involved in amateur dramatics before, we all have to start somewhere and we promise you will receive a lot of support and encouragement.

If you want to work behind the scenes building sets, making costumes, finding props, directing, producing, prompting, marketing, script writing...the list is endless - we would love to hear from you!
